The Lombardia - (Lombardy) wine region is located in north-central area of Italy. The wine region is particularly well known for its sparkling wines made in the Franciacorta and Oltrepò Pavese areas. The Lombardia region also produces acclaimed still red, white and rosé wines made from a variety of local and international grapes including Nebbiolo in the Valtellina region, Trebbiano di Lugana white wines - along with the 'Chiaretto' style rosé wine made along the shores of Lake Garda.
Aldo Rainoldi, Rosso Nebbiolo 2017The red wine Nebbiolo IGT of the Rainoldi winery has an intense and deep ruby red color. The scent is rich of floral essences, is wide and has some fresh fruit hints. The taste is harmonic, round, fragrant and it is very drinkable. Early drinker produced with Nebbiolo grapes coming from the vineyards of the DOC (Controlled Denomination of Origin) area, vinified as a whole together with other grapes gently pressed for must. It is characterised by utter freshness, fruitiness and rich aromas. Mellow, round taste, recommended with starters, first courses and fresh uncured cheeses.

Aldo Rainoldi, Rosso di Valtellina 2017A rich aroma with hints of flowers and fresh berries. On the palate it is well-balanced, fragrant, particularly drinkable. It is the designation common in most part of the DOC (Controlled Denomination of Origin) area in Valtellina, which includes the less rocky and steep areas of the Rhaetian Alps side. It has a more fruity aroma and lighter characteristics than Valtellina Superiore. Ready for drinking after one year of ageing only, it is a fresh and a standard quality wine suitable for any meal.
