Mosel is the most famous of Germany's 13 official wine regions, and also the third largest in terms of production. As with many German regions, it is most aasociated with a range of wine styles made from the Riesling grape variety, but Müller-Thurgau is also widely planted. The best Mosel wines are some of the finest whites in the world. Light and low in alcohol, they can be intensely fragrant with beguiling floral and mineral notes, and a wonderful balance of sweetness and acidity.
Dr. Loosen Graacher Himmelrich Riesling Spatlese 2014
Graach is a small village that lies between Bernkastel and Wehlen. This vineyard’s steep, southwest-facing slopes and deep soils produce wines that combine the elegance of Wehlen with the rustic strength of Bernkastel. Because of the forceful minerality of the abundant blue slate in the soil, wines from Graach have excellent aging potential and will improve in the bottle for many decades. Whiffs of Assam tea and honey permeate throughout this bright, bristling spätlese accenting succulent yellow peach and tangerine flavors. It's vibrant and brisk, but finishes on a sweet, meandering marmalade kiss. Stunning already but structured enough to evolve beautifully through at least 2025

Maximin Grunhauser Herrenberg Riesling Kabinett 2016
“The 2016 Maximin Grünhaus Herrenberg Riesling Kabinett is super clear, crisp and fresh on the nose, showing bright Riesling fruit along with a crunchy slate aroma. Racy, piquant and salty, this is a crystalline picture-book Kabinett from the Herrenberg. The finish is long and complex, the wine absolutely gorgeous. Bottled with 7.5% alcohol and roughly 50 grams of residual sugar that doesn't taste sweet but fruity. Tasted March 2018.”

Clean Slate Riesling, 2017
The fresh, balanced taste of clean slate is achieved by carefully selecting grapes from vineyards throughout the Mosel. The steep blue slate slopes of the Lower Mosel give the wine its minerality while the Middle Mosel provides a hint of spice to complement the characteristics fresh peach flavors of the Upper Mosel. The result is a clean, fresh flavor that is delicious with food and perfect to share with friends. Pairs beautifully with spicy cuisines, Asian, Tex-Mex, Indian and sushi.
